Enhancing energy efficiency by integrating the M-bus consumption data acquisition using DIGICONTROL ems4.SM02B M-bus (Meter bus) is a field bus for the acquisition of data pertaining to consumption values. Data is transmitted serially over a two-wire line, protected against reverse polarity, from the slaves (measuring instruments) connected to a master.The DIGICONTROL ems4.SM02B is used to read directly from up to 20 M-bus enabled counters (e.g. thermal counters, water counters, energy counters and pulse counters). The integrated M-bus level converter | M-bus converter saves on the use of add-on components. Once configured, and the primary address, bus speed and readability of the counters connected having been set, the ems4.SM02B module takes over the data communication function independently. The integrated M-bus data interpreter detects and recognises the standard data required and sends these in case of a change via the CAN bus (MultiLink) that is connected. |
