German TGA Award 2016

GFR is the winner of the German TGA Award 2016

The prize ceremony of the German TGA Award took place in the framework of the "Berlin Energy Days" at the building of the Chamber of Trade and Commerce Berlin on 12 April, 2016.

GFR won the prize in the category "Innovative concept in measuring and control technology/building automation" with the project "Energy consumption optimisation and emission reduction at the Fraunhofer Institute Dresden". The "DIGICONTROL proportional pressure control" and the DIGICONTROL Economizer were retrofitted in an existing ventilation plant of the IKTS (Institute for ceramic technologies and systems). Impressing savings could be proven after an operating time of 140 days in an alternating operation between "Conventional control" and "GFR ECO operation" (Economizer and proportional pressure control): 69.5 % lower energy consumption, 44.8 % lower operational costs and 31.2 % less CO2 emissions.

The "Berlin Energy Days" are organised by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building, and Urban Development (BMVBS) and the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and provide an overview of the political, economic and technical developments with regard to energy-efficiency, renewable energies, energy supply and energy services in Germany.

The German TGA-Prize is awarded to specialist planners, engineers, architects and manufacturers for a registered product which is available on the market and that has been applied in a project. HUSS-MEDIEN GmbH is the organiser of this event.
