The "Office One" office building in Stuttgart-Vaihingen impressively demonstrates the great importance of sustainable architecture and increased energy efficiency as part of the overall concept: "Green Building Bülow". The high quality standard is emphasised by the required technical standards of building automation and building management. The quality standard was planned based on the BACnet world standard DIN EN ISO 16484 in these areas. GFR - Gesellschaft für Regelungstechnik und Energieeinsparung mbH won the subsequent building automation competition with its energy-optimised BACnet design against all other competitors and was awarded the contract for the implementation of the complete building automation and building management system in September 2017.

Technical implementation meets highest requirements

The heart of these highly efficient control strategies are the modular BACnet Building Controllers (B-BC) of the DIGICONTROL ems2 series, which meet the highest requirements in the area of BACnet and which are certified by AMEV, BIG-Europe and BACnet International. Various graphical BACnet touch terminals of type ems4.EC with full access to the embedded WEBSERVER, BACnet room panels of type R4D.RT7 and a superordinate building management system of type WEBVISION 5 with the BACnet Advanced Workstation (B-AWS) profile are available for monitoring and controlling the building.

GFR was particularly successful in meeting the requirements for investment security, optimum energy management and maximum operating comfort, as the applied products offer outstanding qualities in the areas of distributed intelligence, communication capability, security and, of course, excellent interoperability in the field of BACnet.
