GFR has refurbished a total of 342 sets of controllers in the buildings of the University of Paderborn since 1999 and integrated them successfully into the WEBVISION management and control equipment.

In addition to the continuous refurbishment and modernisation of building automation and control systems, the focus is also on new buildings. Building "X" is one of the most state-of-the-art high-performance data centres in Germany. Field-tested solutions by GFR ensure real benefits: The "green data centre" impresses with extremely low energy consumption through the efficient generation of cooling energy. Compared to conventional technology, only 1/3 of the previously consumed energy is needed for cooling!

Flexibility of building automation allows uncomplicated modifications

The fact that the University of Paderborn is in a constant state of change can be witnessed, among other things, by technical progress, increased space and room requirements, functional expansions and the construction of new buildings or parts of buildings.

This is the only way to ensure that the equipment and buildings will continue to fully meet the requirements of a contemporary research and learning infrastructure in the future. Due to their flexibility, GFR building automation and control systems (BACS), BACS management, room automation and energy data management can " grow with you" and adapt quickly and smoothly to changing or entirely new requirements. Different building and room types, such as technical halls, laboratories, lecture halls, foyers, offices, meeting rooms, kitchens or canteens are efficiently automated and sustainably operated and used.
